Why rare mounts take so long — the honest maths

Two separate walls stack against you:

Drop rate. Many chase mounts sit near 1% or lower. At 1% you need roughly 70 attempts for a 50% chance — and RNG has no memory, so 300 attempts with nothing is perfectly normal.
Spawn timers. The worst offenders are not even a loot roll. Rare spawns with multi-hour or multi-day windows mean you are competing for a chance to attempt the drop, often against players camping the same spot.

That combination is why a single mount can eat an entire expansion's worth of daily logins.
