How to Gear Up Fast in WoW Midnight Season 2

Season 2 (Patch 12.1) reset everyone's item level, and the race is on to gear up before the Venomous Abyss Mythic pushes and the next Mythic+ title cutoffs. Here's the fastest, most efficient route — and where a boost saves you the most time.

Where your gear comes from

• Venomous Abyss raid — up to ilvl 344, the biggest weekly item-level jump.
• Mythic+ dungeons — end-of-run chest and the Great Vault. A +10 key gives Hero-track gear.
• Delves — a reliable solo source of catch-up gear and an extra Vault slot.
• The Great Vault — your best single reward each week. Always fill all three columns.

The efficient weekly routine

Each reset: clear the raid on your highest comfortable difficulty, run enough keys to fill the Mythic+ Vault column, and complete your delves. Spend crests only on slots you won't immediately replace from a raid token or higher key — over-upgrading an item the raid then hands you is the most common way players waste progress.

Catalyst & tier set

In Season 2 the Catalyst keeps the secondary stats, sockets and effects of the item you feed it, so plan your 4-set around pieces you actually want. Completing your tier bonus early is usually a bigger gain than a few item levels elsewhere.
